Welcome to the Camping Centre Kekec, located in the well-know tourist and sport area of Pohorje Mountain, with its altitude 994,09 ft (303 m) above sea level, only 4,35 miles (7kilometres) away from the centre of Maribor city. It is a medium size camp that provides its guests a comfortable and pleasant stay. Spaces earmarked for camping cars and camp-trailers are equipped with electricity, water connection, and wireless internet. Each space provides a green plot, lighting and a layer of sand to place a camp car or camp-trailer. Each of 30 spaces provides the area of app. 968,75 square feet (90 square meters). A camping grounds for tents are located on the upper terrace. It is a green plot with regulated draining, equipped with two water supply connectors and electricity and provides a lighting space for app. 20 cars and tents. Camp is the perfect place for relaxation and also an ideal starting point for hiking tours and trekking, ascents by mountain bike, riding, guest can enjoy the adrenalin park, swimming in the nearby spa, and recreation centre enhances the offer with several sports possibilities.
Camp lies on the foothills of Pohorje Mountain in a nice town called Radvanje. It`s easily accessible from all Slovenian cities, and it has good connections to other European cities. To the city centre it is only 5 km distance, so it is a good starting point to do some exploring on foot or bike. In the centre of the town Radvanje, only 400 m away, you will find most of the things you need for your vacation. In the area there is a cafeteria with excellent sweets, small shopping centre, a pharmacy, a post, you can surprise you favourite with a bouquet, and in the local restaurants you can find some typical Slovenian or Styrian dishes. Or you can just enjoy a drink or two in the nearby cafes. If you fancy bakery goods, there is a bakery in the area. Nature lovers, mountaineers, friends of adrenalin will enjoy the variety of sports you can do on Pohorje Mountain; only 300 metres away from the campsite is located the cable-car that will take you on the top of the mountain. In winter time there are various ski slopes of different ski levels on the mountain, one also famous for the women’s alpine skiing, world cup competition called Golden fox. In the area of 400 m there is also a golf course, adrenaline park, beauty and spa centre, fishing enthusiasts will find here a lake to go fishing and the cycling route that will take you to the centre. There are multiple choices of spending your vacation active or relaxed. It will take you half an hour to get to the city centre on bike. You will be able to admire the nature and also sights on the way. Once in the city centre, do not forget to visit the Old Vine, the oldest vine in the world, the old part of town called Lent, the Cathedral and more…
